Bicycling.com took a bunch of statistical information into account when compiling their list of 50 Best Bike Cities:
- US Census city population
- Bicycling-friendly business score
- # of bike-share bikes
- Home values
- Bicycle facilities
What Makes Chicago Such A Great Biking City?
For starters, this spring Chicago will become the first major U.S. city with a downtown network of protected bike lanes” once the Loop Link Transit Project is completed.
