We did it! Permanent Commuter Benefit Parity was just signed into law, ending a quarter century old policy that provided better tax savings for drivers.
Parity is getting closer! On December 15, 2015, the House of Representatives struck a deal on a number of tax provisions (“tax extenders”) that includes permanent parity between the transit and parking portions of the Commuter Benefit. Also, if enacted into law, parity would be retroactively set to $250/month for 2015 and would increase to $255/month in 2016! Learn more!
